Dr. Md. Wahiduzzaman, a prominent consultant ophthalmologist,
He earned his M.B.B.S degree with distinction from Holy Family Red
Crescent Medical College. Furthering his education, he obtained a
Master's in Public Health from the American International
University-Bangladesh. During his time at Rangpur Medical College, he
pursued a Diploma in Ophthalmology, discovering his true calling in this
field.
Upon completing his studies, Dr. Wahiduzzaman commenced his
professional journey. He commenced as an intern at Holy Family Red
Crescent Medical College Hospital, which provided him with valuable
experience for his future career.
His commitment to underserved communities led him to work as a Medical Officer at Insaf Barakah Kidney & General Hospital.
From January 2015 to December 2017 Dr. Wahiduzzaman took on the role of
a Lecturer at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College.
In 2017, he joined the International Organization for Migration (IOM -
UN Migration) and served as a Medical Officer in Cox's Bazar,
Bangladesh, providing healthcare to vulnerable populations, including
Rohingya refugees.
He served as a Junior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Makka Eye Hospital
Rangpur where he performed different surgeries including cataract, DCR,
DCT, Pterygium, Lid growth, Dermoid, etc.
later on, he joined as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Dhaka Eye Care
Hospital, Uttara Dhaka performing intricate surgeries and leading
initiatives to provide affordable comprehensive eye care.
Dr. Wahid has attended many national and international conferences in
Ophthalmology and has been contributing in different public health and
eye awareness programs.
