LT Col Tamjida Farhana completed her MBBS in May 2006 at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College in Bangladesh.

She completed Diploma in Ophthalmology from Bangladesh University of Professionals. Her dedication and pursuit of excellence led her to achieve MCPS and FCPS in Ophthalmology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Notably, she underwent fellowship training in Glaucoma, further enhancing her expertise in eye care.

Dr. Tamjida Farhana's career as an army officer and doctor spans over fifteen years, during which she served in various vital roles. She worked at diverse military medical facilities, including Combined Military Hospitals, Border Guard Hospital in Pilkhana, and Armed Forces Medical College and Hospital.

Her commitment extended to administrative roles as well, where she served as an officer in charge of the Aeromedical Evacuation Team (AMET) for BANBAT in MINUSCA.

- From 2020 to the present, she has been a Classified Ophthalmologist at CMH, Dhaka.

- Between 2012 and 2020, she served as a Graded Ophthalmologist at various Combined Military Hospitals.

- In 2016-2018, she was part of the UN Mission in BANBAT (MINUSCA).

- She was commissioned in the Bangladesh Army from 2008 to 2010, working as a Medical Officer and Acting Adjutant at Joypurhat Girls' Cadet College.

- In 2006-2007, she began her medical career as an Intern Doctor at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College, gaining experience in medicine, surgery, gynecology, and obstetrics.
