Prof. Col. Dr. Md. Abdur Rouf Siddique, Senior Consultant Dhaka Eye Care Hospital. A renowned eye specialist and surgeon.

 Education and Professional Development: He completed his MBBS degree From Dhaka Medical College. After completing MBBS, he successfully earned a Diploma in Ophthalmology (D.O) from Dhaka University and FCPS in Ophthalmology. He also pursued advanced training in cataract surgery and oculoplasty. His thirst for knowledge led him to further studies in hospital administration and international training in the USA.

Military Service: He served in the Bangladesh Army for an impressive 30 years as an eye specialist and surgeon, eventually attaining the rank of Colonel.

International Impact: Prof. Siddique's expertise wasn't limited to Bangladesh. He also served for four years in the Kuwait Army and six years as the Director General of the Lions Eye Institute & Hospital in Dhaka, contributing significantly to global eye care.

Publications and Academic Engagement: Prof. Siddique is not just a practitioner but a scholar as well. He has published 7-8 papers in the field of ophthalmology and actively participated in seminars and symposiums.

Social Engagement and Community Contributions: He was an active member of various professional societies, including OSB, the UVEA Society, KGC, CRCS Society, and the Lions Club of Dhaka Eye Physicians.

Visiting Countries: Prof. Siddique's dedication to eye care took him to several countries, including Kuwait, KSA, Egypt, Vatican City, France, Italy, Alexandria, and India.
